If you are a company that has produced the second iteration of an awesome drone, heres your recipe for failure. Make the iOS control app unavailable and refer to a replacement app (this one) which… 1. Was intended for another purpose 2. Has a crappy interface with buttons that respond on the fifth try 3. Plays sound which you cant switch off 4. Doesnt control the drone properly if the orientation lock is set on your iDevice Then call the unavailability of the control app (which you refer to in all your documentation and tutorials) "promoting" the other app, dont explain why and dont respond to users reaching out on the web. Complete disaster.

where is a good working app?

What the hell is wrong with you parrot in the new update of the program meant to replace freeflight you remove gyro control and absolute control modes? Are you stupid? The thing that makes the drone cool is the fact you control it by tiling you device! The joystick controls are garbage! Smarten up parrot! You really like to stick it to your customers dont you

Original app was way better.....

Each time they release something new, it gets worse and worse. And this latest release leaves no doubt that parrot doesnt really care to make the experience better. You want to really use the drone 2.0? Get drone control AND buy a 60beat controller. The AR Academy offers nothing at this point: the map is flawed, doesnt post flights or videos consistently, flights and videos that DO post will end up disappearing a week later... People not involved in parrot are the ones that release the best apps. Stick with them.

I havent used my drone forever now Im going to build my own quad and give this thing away saving someone else the waste of money. Great idea poor execution parrot Goodbye

Fix the app! It crashes on opening! I will switch to Samsung you rotten apples!

After download worked fine for one flight. When I quit and then tried to fly again the drone was invisible. I tried 4 times with no result. Other 3 apps could detect it.

From what I heard, Parrot did not want to pay Apple after Apple discovered they were using their technology (the tilt feature using the gyroscope) to control the Drone. I suppose they wanted too much money from Parrot so they decided to make another app without that feature. I would assume that with the bucks they haul in on parts and the prices of the drones that they would have plenty to cut Apple in, but perhaps not...

Been trying to find the app now I have it love the drone but the battery should last a little longer than 8-10 minutes but still cool.

No longer has absolute control option. It is completely unacceptable for a company to say that their product comes with this technology and not have it. I guess at one time this app did have the tilt control but then they just took it away. I dont know if there is a legal issue with Apple or what (frankly I dont care). This is false advertising, and Parrot may have more lawsuits coming their way if they dont resolve this.

Drone arrived broken out of the box. Parrot customer service in the UK made me ship it to France at my own expense. Took them 4 days just to give me a return shipping authorization. Ten days have passed since shipping it and have yet to hear anything.

Return this feature!!!! Its a must!!!

That was the most enjoyable part of flying the drone.. The fact I can use tilt on my ipad and phone. Made it natural to fly! Why? Parrot? Why?! Bring it back! I was going to get another drone so I have 2 of them for racing against friends.. But not now.

Company advertises tilt control. Purchased the drone assuming it had tilt control... Got it in the mail today, just to discover that option has been removed, and parrot screwed us all... I hope I can partake in the class action they deserve... They should have a large sticker on the box or advertisements stating NO TILT CONTROL, as well as lower their price since you are no longer getting what you paid for...

This is exactly what I was looking for, more control. Now I must learn how to pilot using yaw, pitch and roll!

I almost bought this drone. Because no reviews are favorable I opted not to purchase. I will look for other options.

I do not understand everyones complains, because I didnt have the older version so I do not know what is missing. My personal experience flying my drone for the first time was amazing, I loved it, it was much easier than I expected, smooth and I loved the camera quality, I doubted how good the camera was and I attached my gopro (which added more weight to the drone) and I had no problems I even took a risk and flew it by a river and i had full control. Im very please!!!! Test it if you can, do not make a deist ion based on others opinion
